    Title: Every move you make
Summary: It is, after all, everywhere.
Author's Notes: NC-17 explicit Lone Power/Nita. Set some time after A Wizard's Dilemma. Yes, the fact that the title is from The Police's "Every Breath You Take" could be considered a extra warning.
Fandom is Diane Duane's Young Wizards series, which *everyone ever* ought to read.

    <-- not subtle
Apparently the entirety of my workplace knows I'm bi.

(This entry brought to you by having been casually told while counting her drawer down, "I didn't know you were a lesbian."

Cue my blank stare. "I'm bi."

And then brief discussion about how no, I am not uncomfortable or worried or angsty about this, and yes, my sex life is in fact the discussion topic du jour.)

    Misc.
    Dear Dingsi:

Has Arion recced you The Cliks yet? Or at least shown you pictures?

    Dear Reshelved:

Randomly, <3. And also more <3.

    Dear Universe:

Den-O makes me happy in my *soul*. Oh, Momotauros, I totes love you best. I just. My love is *completely incoherent* and best expressed through flaily hands.

I need to pick up ROBIN 170.

I don't care what canon says, Dick's name is not Richard Grayson. His name is *Dick*. No, this will never stop getting on my nerves.

I miss the Ninth Doctor. He is my favorite. There needs to be more Who femslash, on general principle.

I had something to say about this Playboy Wonder Woman business. I don't remember quite what it was. I'll work on that.

I have three or four Hana fics living in the back of my head. I should write them down.

If I don't participate in halfamoon, I will absolutely do 100women, and it will be *awesome*.

    Recipes! Tasty healthy recipes!
I seriously recommend the hummus cakes. )

(I may soon be able to, like, rejoin fandom and post things and review things and so forth. Yay!)

Current Mood: I need a foodie icon.

    Quick Thoughts on Supergirl 20
Supergirl looks amazing. Full stop. I love the art, no questions asked.
    But )
I'll buy the book, though, with art like that. Because Supergirl looks *human*, she looks like a teenage girl, and I am ecstatic about that. People, her boots have *tread*. She has *shorts* under that skirt, and the upskirt shot *made sense for the story*. It was stunning. I am still in happy gleeful shock. Supergirl and Cassie looked a little too much alike for my tastes, but man, oh man, as long as Renato Guedes is on this title DC has my money.

P.S. Check out this piece for auction. Got $70 USD clunking around? There are worse things it could be spent on than this picture.

    Meme!
Shut up, it's one-thirty and I can't sleep and I don't feel well, but I don't have the brain to go read and fb fic. Therefore ancient meme I got from... somewhere.

    1. If you were writing a comic book about me would I be a hero or villain?
    2. What would my hero or villain be called?
    3. What would my super powers be?
    4. Who would be my arch-nemesis?
    5. Would I have a sidekick, and if so what would they be called?
    6. How did I get my powers?
    7. Describe my costume.
    8. What is my weakness?

Dingsi, being once again his awesome self, does a post about harshing other people's squee by being a [--]ist jerk. I want to print this post out and staple it to people's heads, because it's succint and articulate and clear and *angry*, which it has *every right to be*, and I am so tired of people telling other people not to be angry, or to be careful about their tones, or *whatever*, about whatever issue is being discussed.

Also there is a beautiful beautiful tearing apart of the stupid idea "but it doesn't matter if there's no gay people in this work!" in the comments, which makes me do a fistpump of yay. Because it *does* matter. (Presence also matters for people of color, and women, and and and. Just, you know, so you know.)

    Oh, fandom. Again?
The first time I ever heard the word "miscegenation," I was fourteen years old. It was in class discussing Deeply Stupid Things in Alabama's Constitution. I have never heard it meaning only "the mixing of races"; it has *always* meant, in my mind, a piece of Alabama's past which was shameful and awful and horrific.

And I just kinda... okay, so maybe you didn't *know* the context of this word, daily_deviant mods. I can believe that! I really can! A lot of people aren't comfortable discussing racism and so forth, maybe you'd genuinely just *never heard that word*. But, um, dude, the proper response to having someone email you and tell you "your diction is offensive and here's why" is *not* to say "oh well! tee hee! big deal!" The proper response is to apologize and change your word choice to something less loaded.

(If you don't know what I'm talking about, check here, here, here, and here.

    Also, still not dead.)

    Still true.
"His own good, either physical or moral, is not a sufficient warrant. He cannot rightfully be compelled to do or forbear because it will be better for him to do so, because it will make him happier, because, in the opinions of others, to do so would be wise or even right. [...] The only part of the conduct of anyone for which he is amenable to society is that which concerns others. In the part which merely concerns himself, his independence is, of right, absolute. Over himself, over his own body and mind, the individual is sovereign."

    Rose. Seek therapy, *please*.
    Dear Canon:

There are a few things I'd like you to remember about Rose Wilson.
    Such as...  )
(P.S. So Rose was fourteen when Lili died. Just after Kid's Game, canon said Rose was conceived eighteen years ago. *How* old is she now? And how long was she with the Madisons? *Or* the Titans, for that matter.)

P.P.S. *Which* eye is she blind in?!? It's kind of an important detail, and people keep *switching back and forth*.)

    Fic and scans.
I made an Adeline primer for [info]reshelved. It is here. And, because I am an obsessive little creature, I also made a Frannie primer. If any of you were curious about who that woman I kept mentioning was, it is here.

    Title: All this is love
Summary: There are many things Tim wants.
    Author's Notes: Title from Love.

    Title: Worst of fortune's might
Summary: Adeline is used to the way Slade loves.
Author's Notes: Petra wrote me When nobody else is looking, which anybody who is not outright allergic to Slade should go read right now and comment. And then come back here.
This is the story of Adeline meeting Tiercel.

    Instarecs.
And a Million Deaths to Die will rip your heart out and step on it. (Gloss? Do *not* read. Te, you might not want to, either.)

AU of the Society of Supervillains. Canon didn't go this way, and I'm not sorry, but if it had... that is how it should have done it.

True as steel is another one that will rip your heart out and stomp all over it. Bat!Tim and devotion and love and *ruthlessness*, and an Oracle canon only *wishes* could be that badass. I am still trying to formulate a coherent comment.

    Title: Sound be thy sleeping
Summary: Rose is her mother's daughter, too.
Author's Notes: I was talking with [info]ilyena_sylph about Rose and daddy issues and the complete lack of notice being paid to her *mommy* issues. Me being me...
Set some nebulous time after Titans East. Does not require anything like detailed knowledge of that arc.
